In his fiancée’s hand is a precious 7-carat diamond. It was estimated at several tens of thousands of euros. A rarity that surprises the young woman. “Now we have to go see the diamond cutter.” At the beginning of January, while traveling in Arkansas (United States), Julien discovered the stone almost by chance, in an old mine open to tourists. In the crater of an ancient volcano, the magma brought up thousands of diamonds.

An amateur gold prospector, he tried his luck by digging the ground for a ten-euro ticket. “I wander around the park alone with my sandwich, but after a while I see something shiny”, he remembers with a smile. He then thinks that the stone, brown in color, is a quartz or another stone, but did not expect to have found a diamond. With this discovery, the Frenchman entered the top 10 of the largest diamonds found in the United States. His fiancée will soon wear a ring adorned with this diamond.
