A moving freight train caught fire Sunday evening in the city of London, Ontario.
“We were able to get to the scene and contain the fire in the downtown area very quickly, with limited damage and no injuries,” the London Fire Department said on Twitter.
Several fire crews rushed to the scene of the fire on Sunday evening, where five wagons carrying old wooden railway ties were engulfed in flames.
Residents in the area were asked to stay indoors with their windows closed as a precaution due to the smoke.
The cause of the fire is not known. An investigation by Canadian Pacific Kansas City Limited (CPKC) is ongoing. Damages are estimated at $35,000.
