A four-year-old toddler lost his life on Saturday after being found unresponsive in a residential swimming pool in Saint-Lambert.
According to information provided by the Longueuil agglomeration police department (SPAL), the emergency services were called around 4:10 p.m. following the discovery of the young boy in a swimming pool on Normandy Avenue.
“Manoeuvres were quickly undertaken as soon as the first responders arrived. A cardiac defibrillator was also used”, can we read in a publication of the SPAL on social networks.
Still according to the police department, the child was transported to a hospital center, where he was declared dead shortly after 5:00 p.m.
An investigation has been opened to determine the circumstances of the tragedy.
