Laura Marivain lost her daughter to leukemia caused by pesticides found in flowers.

A fight that a mother could never have imagined one day her job as a florist could cause the death of her daughter. Laura Marivain is the mother of Amy, who died of cancer at the age of 11 in 2022. She promised her daughter to fight. She wants justice to recognize that her leukemia was indeed linked to the pesticides to which she was exposed during her pregnancy.

She was a florist. “When the doctors told us to expect a big cancer and they showed us the pictures, a lot of my daughter’s bones are black. And all we think about are the flowers”explains the mother. The compensation fund for pesticide victims offered him 25,000 euros in compensation. Amount that she considered unacceptable.
