Monday 1er August, a fire broke out in the heart of the Cinecittà in Rome, Italy. Welcoming thousands of visitors every day, this is Italian Hollywood.

A fire caused a very big scare in Rome (Italy), Monday 1er august. The fire broke out in the afternoon in the legendary Cinecittà studios. Admittedly, the complex has been almost at a standstill for many years, but there was the risk, for Italy, of losing part of its history. The fire ravaged a technical platform and then spread to the surroundings. The historic drought that the country is going through has contributed to accelerating the progression of the flames. The fire is certainly due to an electrical short circuit.

The decorations of these studios are particularly flammable. They are notably made up of assembled wooden panels. Indeed, the Cinecittà is, in a way, the Italian Hollywood. From now on, it is rather a museum of Italian cinema. Thousands of people visit it every day. The park is closed to visitors until further notice, while all security measures are taken.
