The Brest public prosecutor’s office indicates Wednesday May 15 in a press release that a family assistant from Lannilis (Finistère) will be tried next November for suspicion of mistreatment of a minor she was looking after, reports France Bleu Breizh Izel.
Aged 43, she was taken into custody on Monday at the Lannilis gendarmerie brigade. According to the first elements communicated by the prosecution on Wednesday, this family assistant, a host family for minors in difficulty, regularly attached “a child to the bars of her bed for the night with laces and she put on her shoes and two fleeces to sleep in”.
The prosecution also explains that‘”she removed the mattress from the bed so that the child was sitting on the box spring” and him “threw glasses of water in his face”. The suspicions of violence and abuse were confirmed by the daughter of the accused, specifies the prosecution.
At the end of her police custody on Wednesday, this forty-year-old was placed under judicial supervision. She will be summoned on November 7 before the Brest court.
