It is amazement in Roujan (Hérault), the scene of a feminicide followed by a murder. A man stabbed his girlfriend multiple times. A neighbor in her twenties who wanted to intervene was also killed.
The double murder took place in a building in downtown Roujan, in Hérault, north of Béziers. Friday, January 14, around 7 p.m., a first woman was stabbed by a man in his twenties, it would be his companion. On the upper floor, a neighbor alerted by the cries, goes there and is in turn stabbed. The man takes refuge in his parents’ restaurant just opposite his home before being arrested.
According to Béziers prosecutor Raphaël Balland, “there was never any suspicion of violence in the couple”. The victim was well known in the town, the inhabitants are in shock. “It’s a super friendly place and right next to it, two little girls are being murdered”, laments a resident. In police custody, the man told investigators that he suffered from psychological problems. The gendarmes are trying to clarify the exact circumstances of the double murder.
