A dismembered body was found, Saturday May 11 in the evening, under the Austerlitz bridge in Paris, confirmed the Paris prosecutor’s office, after information from the Actu17 site. Firefighters made this discovery when they came to put out a trash fire in the open around 10 p.m., civil security explained.
An investigation was opened for “murder” and entrusted to the criminal brigade of the Paris judicial police, details the prosecution. According to Actu17, the remains were in a suitcase, information that the prosecution did not confirm.
A 34-year-old man presented himself to the police shortly after 8 a.m. on Sunday morning, claiming to be the perpetrator, the Paris prosecutor’s office told AFP, confirming information from Europe 1. “He was taken into custody for intentional homicide”specifies the prosecution, which adds that “numerous investigations are underway and the person concerned has not yet been able to be heard”.
