An altercation with a policeman left one dead and one injured on Thursday among the gold diggers of a gold mine operated by the Quebec company Robex in Mali.
This incident caused a crowd movement forcing access to the site. All the necessary precautions have been taken to avoid a deterioration of the situation in order to protect the workers and the population against any new violence.
Production has been temporarily suspended and an assessment of material damage and security conditions for resuming operations is underway.
