Shortly before noon, the Deux-Sèvres firefighters intervened in the town of Allonne between Niort and Parthenay to try to save a 68-year-old man who had just been run over by his tractor. He did not survive his injuries.
Present at the scene, his wife was taken care of by a doctor. Parthenay’s company gendarmes were also there.
An investigation will have to determine the causes of this fatal accident.
