An off-duty controller was assaulted and slightly injured by a stab this Monday at the end of the afternoon in a TER between Nîmes and Montpellier.
He wanted to help his colleague who had just asked a couple in their forties to lower the volume of their music. A fight then broke out.
The controller was injured in the shoulder and a hand.
The attacking couple were arrested by the police at Montpellier St Roch station and immediately taken into custody.
The region’s controllers have decided to assert their right of withdrawal to protest against this aggression.
Of the disturbances are therefore possible this Tuesday in the TER of the region.
In a press release, the CGT of Montpellier railway workers “requires concrete measures from the Management so that agents can carry out their missions in complete safety and guarantee a quality Public Service for users”.
Negotiations have been started.
