A French teacher at a college in Yvelines was targeted by rumors and accused of Islamophobia, for having shown a painting representing the bodies of completely naked women.
The closed doors of a college in Yvelines are the signal of a call for help launched by worried teachers. Thursday, December 7, a French teacher at the establishment showed a 17th century painting representing completely naked women to her 6th grade students. According to the rectorate, three young girls looked away. According to classmates, the teacher questioned them about the reasons for their reaction, asking them if it was linked to their religion, which the teacher vigorously denies.
Disciplinary measures
The next day, the teaching staff stepped up to defend the teacher. An incident linked to secularism which adds to various other problems within the college. For certain unions, the event brings back the specter of the assassination of Samuel Paty. The Minister of National Education, Gabriel Attal, who visited the teachers of the establishment, announced disciplinary measures against the students responsible for this situation.
