a coach from the Belgian version weighs in on the salaries of French jurors

Only a few days left before the return of The Voice on TF1. Saturday February 10, 2024,
Mika, Vianney, Zazie, Bigflo and Oli
will be reunited again for a competition that promises to be thrilling. But if France is preparing to launch yet another season of the cult program, our Belgian neighbors have already resumed service. On January 9, the show’s coaches took their seats in the red chairs. Among them: American singer-songwriter Beverly Jo Scott, also known as B.J. Scott.

“I am very proud to have been part of this adventure for more than ten years. This experience has been rich in encounters, but also in frustrations of seeing certain talents leave. The Voice has literally changed my life, but for the better . I met so many beautiful people. It allowed me to have a more stable life in Belgium, my adopted country, and to be closer to my Belgian family. I also became more popular in Wallonia , and it’s not unpleasant”she confided this Tuesday, February 6, 2024 during an interview given to our colleagues at Ciné Télé Revue.

“200,000 euros”

Exiting his brilliant career at the head of the talent show, BJ Scott had the opportunity to talk about his salary. A visibly taboo subject for the 64-year-old artist. The money we earn doesn’t concern anyone. We are in Wallonia, we must not mess around. I have nothing more to say. You know, I drive a car that I bought second hand, I pay taxes like everyone else… I don’t ride in gold. Even if I won 200,000 euros, it’s nothing compared to what other coaches earn in other countries.” Does the star have France in her sights? The mystery remains intact…
