A cliff collapsed on a busy lake in Brazil on Saturday January 8. About 30 people were injured, and eight lost their lives.

In the aftermath of the tragedy, the search for the bodies continued in the lake. “We carry out our research work on the surface of the water, but also in the water with divers”, announced Colonel Edgar Estevo de Silva, of the State Rescue Service of Minas Gerais. An alert to heavy rains, recommending to avoid waterfalls, had been issued by the authorities.
