A casa nustrale wants to recycle paper in Corsica

Recycle cellulose wadding paper

In casa nustrale, it is a project launched a little over 5 years ago, to create a plant to process the 7,000 tonnes of paper and cardboard produced in Corsica every year to make cellulose wadding insulation.
But for the moment the project is slipping due in particular to the health crisis, 7 employees recover 900 tonnes of raw material which is recycled on the continent while waiting for the factory which would cost 1,600,000 € to Folelli.
According to Jacques Carava, one of the founders of SCIC, transforming cellulose wadding into insulation material perfectly meets the needs of our territory. It is efficient because it protects from the cold but also from the heat thanks to a very high resistance to thermal variations.
Now Jacques Cavara hopes to build his factory within 6 months, and start his activity in 2022.
