A car hits a tree near Niort, two injured including one in absolute emergency

A car has violently hit a tree, on the evening of Friday June 10, in Deux-Sèvres. The accident occurred on departmental 106, at a place called Pied Blanc, in the town of Aiffres, near Niort. Two people were injured. The 20-year-old driver was taken care of in absolute urgency by firefighters. The Smur medical helicopter evacuated her to the Poitiers University Hospital.

The passenger, a 33-year-old man, was also injured, but more lightly. Eleven firefighters responded to the scene of the accident. The gendarmes blocked the road while they evacuated the vehicle.
