A motorcyclist lay between life and death in hospital after colliding with a car that had just cut his way, Monday afternoon, in Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Carmel, in Mauricie.
The accident occurred shortly before 3 p.m. on Route 157, not far from the intersection of rang Saint-Flavien Est.
According to authorities, the driver of the car made a left turn to enter a parking lot, thus cutting the way for the motorcyclist.
He was unable to avoid the collision and hit the vehicle hard.
The motorcyclist was taken to hospital in serious condition. The doctors fear for his life.
A collision investigation specialist from the Sûreté du Québec was to travel to the scene at the end of the afternoon to try to establish the cause and circumstances of the accident.
