Their September pay slip will swell by a few hundred euros, and it’s like an early Christmas present. A gesture for its employees, a gesture for the planet. The Nîmes company Sud Métal Provence, based in ZAC de Grézan, will grant a global bonus of 20,000 euros to its employees. That’s about 400 euros for each. According to management, this is a boost to deal with rising inflation. In exchange, employees use an eco-friendly means of transport to come to work.
Audrey Legal is the HRD of Sud Métal Provence. And it was with the director of the company that she had this idea: “we wanted to support our employees, offer them a little help during this difficult back-to-school period, and encourage them to use an ecological mode of transport“
“It makes you want to invest even more, with a boss who gives it back to us like that. Many SMEs have been lucky enough to be able to offer this bonus to their employees. Many have not done it. Ours has fact, it proves his confidence, and it boosts” Farah El Ouly, commercial
Farah El Ouly, is commercial in the company. She now car-drives to work. And this bonus of 400 euros is welcome: “beyond the bonus of 400 euros, it’s really a challenge for everyone, she explains. There, it puts at the center a main question like energy. We carpool with two colleagues, now there are three of us in the same vehicle, whereas before everyone took their own car. Those are savings for everyone. We have adapted our schedules, it reconnects between services, it’s a great experience“.
In total, 60 of the 80 employees benefited from it. Those who have not benefited from it are either long-term absentees or employees with a company car.
“In return, they are even more involved, even more invested. We tell ourselves that we have succeeded in our bet” Audrey Legal, HRD of the company Sud Métal Provence
