A bronze medal for the Lavalloise Sounkamba Sylla at the French Elite Athletics Championships

Lavalloise Sounkamba Sylla finished 3rd in the 400m final this Saturday, June 25 at the French Elite Athletics Championships. The 23-year-old sprinter set a new time under the 53-second mark: she finished her lap in 52″87. The race was won by SCO Angers athlete Amandine Brossier in 52.02.

A new time in less than 53 seconds

Sounkamba Sylla improved her time this Saturday, June 25 compared to the 400m series, she had qualified for the final in 53″06. The athlete licensed at Laval Agglo Athlé 53 had a chance of medals in these French Elite athletics championships which take place in Caen since she has fallen below the 53-second mark several times this season: 52″33 during the meeting national d’Angoulême on June 3 or 52″64 during a competition in Carquefou on June 11.
