Be careful if you walk in the parks in Marseille. A boa constrictor snake from the Boidae family has been discovered. He was seen in the second basin of Parc Pastré, in the 8th arrondissement, not far from the equestrian center. Teams from the town hall of the city are currently hard at work to find him. The city calls for the greatest vigilance. The size of a boa can range from 1.5 to 4.5 meters. No explanation was provided for his presence in a city park.
The species is more accustomed to living in the wild. It is a carnivorous animal without venom which mainly consumes small animals such as rodents for example.
