A Baumettes prisoner died, his throat slit by his fellow inmate in Marseille

According to the first elements of the investigation, a fight broke out between the two prisoners in their cell.

According to a source close to the case, the attacker broke a porcelain bowl and struck the victim’s throat with a shard. Despite the intervention of emergency services, the victim died around 8 p.m.

The man who struck the shard is incarcerated for drug trafficking and has been placed in police custody.
