A 38-year-old woman was found dead in the Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie borough, in Montreal, on Sunday. His death is considered suspicious by the Montreal Police Service (SPVM).
It was shortly before 5:30 p.m. that 911 received a call regarding a situation in a home located on Bourbonnière Avenue, near Laurier Avenue.
Upon arriving on scene, police located an unresponsive woman on the ground. They noted his death on the spot, said agent Caroline Chèvrefils, who is a spokesperson for the SPVM.
The circumstances surrounding the tragedy are currently unknown. However, the police indicate that there were traces of violence on the victim’s body.
A man was also present in the accommodation, said Officer Chèvrefils. He is considered to be an important witness and was transported to an investigation center where he will be met by investigators to determine whether or not he was involved in this event.
A security perimeter was erected to protect the scene for investigators and forensic identification technicians, who must all analyze the location in order to try to understand the exact circumstances of this death.
