A 13-year-old girl was found dead Wednesday, December 22 in a squatted apartment in Roubaix (North), which she occupied with two other young women, and justice is investigating the causes of death, we learned Thursday from parquet. “I confirm the discovery yesterday of the lifeless body of a 13 and a half year old teenager in a squatted apartment in Roubaix, rue Barbe d’Or”Lille prosecutor Carole Etienne told AFP, confirming information from the daily The voice of the North.
The victim was in this accommodation “with another minor and a young adult aged 20”, she clarified. “An investigation has been opened to find the causes of death. Investigations are underway, particularly forensic”, added Carole Etienne, without further details.
According to a police source at AFP, “drugs and alcohol” were still present near the teenager’s body. The first elements of the investigation do not suggest violence or traces of rape, according to the same source. The police source also specifies that the family, originally from Tourcoing, had a priori not made a declaration of fugue.
