She is the wife of Patrice Duhamel, former director general of France Télévisions, the sister-in-law of Alain Duhamel, journalist and editorialist, the aunt by marriage of Amélie Oudéa-Castera, the minister of sports, and mother of the journalist of BFMTV Benjamin Duhamel. In a portrait produced by the newspaper Releaseon Thursday April 4, 2024, Nathalie St-Cricq responded with humor to critics who take a dim view of “Duhamel Galaxy“to which it belongs.
“I fell in love with my boss“
She, who was in a relationship with her man, Patrice Duhamel, for 25 years before marrying him in 2017, explained: “In short, I fell in love with my boss“. And to specify: “I met Patrice when he was head of news at La Cinq. […] But he was never the one who hired me” – just to rule out any conflict of interest that the haters could accuse him of.
And there are haters… Nathalie St-Cricq was attacked by LFI activists, who plastered her photo in their last campaign, for the European elections. Perceived as a threat to the far left, the paf star was mentioned in the slogan, “Nathalie Saint-Cricq votes. And you?”and France Télévision considered that this was intimidation towards its staff.
For her part, the journalist is ironic, after Libération, and welcomes the not disadvantageous photo chosen by her detractors. She also transparently reveals her salary, 5,789 euros net, 13th month included, which is not that of a TV presenter, but which corresponds to that of a journalist. Nathalie Saint-Cricq, however, testifies to a very big advantage that she had, and that others do not have.
“I was able to do what many women cannot do”
She prioritized her family life, and put work on hold when her children were young. “I was able to do what many women cannot do: stop when I needed time for my private life and come back without being harmed”she explains.
