The film The successor, starring Marc-André Grondin, was sold in 60 countries. It will be seen “from Italy to Korea”, announce its producers.
“This is a very encouraging start to the year for Quebec cinema both at home and internationally,” said Sylvain Corbeil, of Metafilms, in a press release. He is delighted that Xavier Legrand’s film (Before you lose everything), which accumulated $950,000 at the Quebec box office, can be seen “in the four corners of the world”.
The successor was notably sold in Italy, India, Korea and Ukraine. It is already on display in France, as well as in Quebec.
The work stars Marc-André Grondin in the role of a Quebecer called to take charge of a French haute couture house, but whose life is turned upside down by the sudden death of his father. Yves Jacques, Anne-Élisabeth Bossé, Vincent Leclerc and Louis Champagne are also part of the cast.
