Rebelote! While some probably thought that Koh Lanta was going to take a break because of the many scandals related to the last season, Denis Brogniart announced excellent news. Indeed, the iconic animator of the survival program was making a nice Christmas present after the hour by announcing the opening of registrations for the casting of the next season on his account. Twitter. “Do you dream of living this exceptional adventure? So do not hesitate any longer, try the casting”.
Following this announcement, many potential candidates, dreaming of living an exceptional adventure, hurried to go to the registration page to send their file. However, a detail challenged them and sparked a strange controversy on the Web. As is often the case with a reality TV show, you are asked to send a photo in a swimsuit for the application file. Which does not seem to have really pleased some tweets according to the following tweet: “Why do we have to send a photo in a swimsuit? There are people who would love to participate but who don’t feel comfortable enough to do that.”
A completely understandable question. However, if some people are bothered by sending a bikini photo, they should not be part of the adventure. As a reminder, during most of the shooting, because of the hot weather and the activities taking place in the water, the candidates spend most of their time in swimsuits.
It is also for this reason that Denis Brogniart answered, a bit ironically, the Internet user’s question in this way: “Because in Koh Lanta we spend a lot of time in swimsuits! No? Nice evening”. An answer which however did not convince the twittos … It remains to be seen if the production will finally decide not to ask for photos in swimsuits. In order to avoid one more scandal.
