Back for several weeks in Forez, Bakary Sako (33), without a club since leaving Pafos (Cyprus) on July 1, 2020, was training with the professional workforce. His involvement and the level displayed clearly caught the eye of the new trainer Pascal Dupraz.
ASSE has decided to hire him for six months until June 2022 as of January 1. The striker will therefore wear the Green tunic again after his three-year stint between 2009 and 2012 in which he scored 16 goals.
I arrive with only one mission: to save the club – Bakary Sako
The words of Bakary Sako on the ASSE website: “I am very proud to find the club which revealed me. To come back here, almost ten years later, is something great. I arrive with only one mission: to save the club. I am not alone for this. There are good elements in the team and a few trigger events will allow us to get out of this complicated situation.“
Bakary Sako is the first recruit of the winter transfer window. Defender Joris Gnagnon should officially sign up very soon.
