Alexeï Navalny, Putin’s main opponent, has just died in a prison in the Far North of Russia. Most eyes are on the master of the Kremlin, strongly suspected of being involved in this death. The latter will obviously deny the thing. But it is difficult to believe Putin, if we rely at all on the fate reserved in the past and present for people who oppose him.
We must hope that Navalny did not die in vain. That a wind, a breath of freedom will eventually appear in Russia. Fragile freedom ends, I believe, always triumphs, because the deep desire for it is innate in every person. But this victory can unfortunately take a long time to see the light of day, as the darkness of fear and repression remains very powerful.
