While the war between Israel and Hamas has lasted 120 days, the Palestinian population is threatened by famine in the middle of winter. Negotiations take place for a truce and the release of the hostages.
Near the Egyptian border, in Rafah (Gaza), the Palestinians observe, from daybreak, the neighborhood left in ruins. The previous night, new Israeli strikes hit the city, where, according to the UN, there are 1,300,000 Gazan refugees. If the war still rages, an agreement for a truce is hoped. A few hours earlier, Hamas indicated, during a press conference, that it had not yet reached an agreement with the state of Israel for a potential truce.
Israel will not accept “any deal”
For their part, Israel and its Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have been firm on the issue: they will not sign just any agreement for a truce. “We are continuing our efforts to free our hostages. As I have stressed, we will not accept just any deal, at any price”insisted the political leader of Israel during a press conference.
