. The journalist accused the latter of having attacked him on February 22, 2023 in a restaurant located in the 12th arrondissement of Paris. In his complaint filed on March 7, Edwy Plenel indicated that a “woman, previously seated, alone, at another table […] arose and in a very short period of time” for the “grab by the hair with violence”throw his head back and spit in his face.
Facts that the director who collaborated with Johnny Depp for the film Jeanne du Barryhas always assumed and recognized. When he came to Daily last May, Yann Barthès returned to this attack and asked him: “Did you attack him?”
. After answering the question in the affirmative, she however did not wish to say more, judging that it was not the “time for [qu’elle en] speak”and that she would talk about it “when the time is right”.

Three-digit fine for Maïwenn
During an interview for the Sunday Newspaper in June, the director justified her action by evoking extracts from one of her hearings as part of an article on the accusations of rape targeting her ex-husband Luc Besson, used by Médiapart “without [la] prevent”. She also denounced the use of hearings “dependent” And “in an oriented manner”. During his hearing this Tuesday, January 16 at the Paris court, Maïwenn once again recognized his actions and maintained his remarks against Edwy Plenel. “I know that we don’t take justice into our own hands, that we don’t settle things through violence. Still according to our colleagues, justice has decided to sentence the director to a fine of 400 euros, while Edwy Plenel will receive one euro for moral damage.
