The whole of France is concerned. Organic bacon is recalled due to the presence of listeria. The products, sold under different brands, were distributed at Carrefour, Système U, Scachap (Leclerc), Auchan, Relais Vert, NaturéO and even Biofrais, according to the official “Consumer Rappel” website. All were released between December 29 and January 2.

Among the products concerned: the “Natural bacon” and “Smoked bacon” products from the “Le bio des bergers” brand. The batch number of “Plain bacon” is 874343 and its GTIN code (or product code) is 3483190092661. The batch number of “Smoked bacon” is 874346. Its GTIN code is 3483190092678. They were sold at Carrefour, Système U, Scachap (Leclerc) or even Auchan.

Recall Conso also reports the recall of the “Plain bacon” and “Smoked bacon” products from the “Le P’tit bio” brand. The batch number of “Plain bacon” is 874344 and its GTIN code is 3483190093965. The batch number of “Smoked bacon” is 874345 and its GTIN code is 3483190093972. They were sold by the brands Relais Vert, NaturéO or even Biofresh.

Consumers can be reimbursed

For all these bacon pieces, the procedure to follow is the same if you have purchased them: “don’t consume it anymore”, “return the product to the point of sale”Or “destroy the product”, according to “Consumer reminder”. In all cases, affected consumers can be reimbursed.

According to the government website, “people who have consumed the ‘products’ mentioned above and who present with fever, isolated or accompanied by headaches, and body aches, are invited to consult their doctor and report this consumption”. He emphasizes that “serious forms with neurological complications and maternal or fetal damage in pregnant women can also sometimes occur”recalling that “Listeriosis is a disease that can be serious and has an incubation period of up to eight weeks”.
