Senator Joël Guerriau, suspected of having drugged a member of parliament, was indicted and placed under judicial supervision on Friday November 17 for “administering to a person, without their knowledge, a substance likely to impair their discernment or control of his actions, in order to commit rape or sexual assault” and “possession and use of substances classified as narcotics”, the senator’s lawyer told franceinfo.
A confrontation took place on Friday between the elected representative of Loire-Atlantique and the MP. This meeting allowed Joël Guerriau “to strongly confirm his version of the facts which does not allow at this stage of the investigation to characterize any offense”his lawyer Rémi-Pierre Drai told franceinfo.
The 66-year-old elected official is suspected of having “administered to a person, without their knowledge, a substance likely to impair their discernment or control of their actions to commit rape or sexual assault”.
