“Comme parmagique”, the latest film by Christophe Barratier, is released in theaters this Wednesday, November 15. The director of “Choristes” signs a comedy with a shock duo, Kev Adams and Gérard Jugnot. The 13 Heures was able to attend the previews and the spectators’ reactions were very enthusiastic.
Everywhere he goes, Kev Adams measures his popularity by the number of selfies and autographs. Before the session, the public seems won over in advance. “Impressive, handsome guy“, comments a young woman. The actor is delighted to present his new film in front of a packed house. “As if by magic“, directed by Christophe Barratier, is the story of Victor, a magician dad. For this role, Kev Adams was particularly involved in learning real magic tricks.
First father role
The director hadn’t thought of Kev Adams from the start, but he was won over. “I found someone who not only had a sense of humor, but who was also a hard worker (…) and even had a slightly dark, slightly melancholy side.“, explains Christophe Barratier. For the actor, there is no question of abandoning the one-man show. With this first role as a father, Kev Adams broadens his palette. HAS 32 years old, the image of the eternal teenager dissipates, and it’s anything but magic.
