A man was stabbed Thursday evening in the LaSalle borough of Montreal after an altercation with one of his neighbors.
Police said they received a call from a home near Rousseau and Benoit streets around 9:20 p.m. reporting that a man had just been stabbed.
The victim, aged 32, was injured in the upper body with a sharp object, explained a spokesperson for the Montreal Police Department, Jeanne Drouin.
The man was conscious when transported to hospital and his life is not believed to be in danger.
The police arrested a 51-year-old man who will be interviewed by investigators.
The first pieces of information collected by the police suggest that the attack was the result of a neighborhood dispute which degenerated, underlined Officer Drouin.
