Dramatic twist in the Lina affair. Eight daysafter Lina’s disappearancea young 15-year-old teenager, seen one last time on Saturday September 23, 2023 around 11:15 a.m. by two witnesses who claim to have seen her walking along a departmental road taking her to the Saint-Blaise-la-station. Roche, located three kilometers from her home, where she was supposed to take the train to join her boyfriend, Tao, 19, in Strasbourg for a romantic day, the public prosecutor of Bas-Rhin decided to open a judicial investigation for “kidnapping or sequestration”, thus ruling out the possibility of a runaway, a suicide or an unfortunate fall. The criminal trail is now favored by the investigators, and two investigating judges have jointly taken charge of the case, entrusted to the Strasbourg criminal unit.
For several hours, as Le Parisien and BFMTV recall, a house located a few kilometers from Lina’s home, used by a man for five years, is searched by the gendarmes and the dog team. The vehicle of the occupant of this house is of interest to investigators, who consider it to be similar to the one seen not far from the area where the teenager disappeared, on video surveillance cameras. Last Friday, September 29, a large-scale operation, targeting “several points of potential areas of disappearance” of the young adolescent, had made it possible to highlight “several vehicles” considered suspicious, because it resembles the last vehicle that could have approached Lina. Questioned by the gendarmes, a local resident indicated that her neighbor was apparently completely “normal” according to Le Parisien.
For the moment, no information has been communicated as to the reasons which push investigators to prioritize this house. Seals were installed early in the morning on the front door of the accommodation. A dog vehicle remained on surveillance of the accommodation throughout the night. The hamlet of Diespach, where the man lives, belongs to the commune of Plaine, a small village populated by less than 1000 inhabitants. Two new gendarmerie vehicles followed, around 8 a.m., as indicated by BFMTV. A new point should be done by the public prosecutor this Sunday, October 1, 2023 at midday.
