The French football team, defending champion of the League of Nations, knows its opponents for the group stage of the third edition of the competition. The draw, which took place this Thursday evening, places the Blues against Denmark, Croatia and Austria.
The distribution being based on the results of the last edition, the Blues were among the four seeds with Spain, Italy and Belgium.
The team that will finish in first place in the group stages will qualify for the final four-man phase, scheduled for June 2023. Failure, with a 4th place in the group, would instead be synonymous with relegation to the second division (League B) for the 2024-2025 edition. But it would be even more worrying a few weeks before the World Cup, where the Blues intend to win a third star. These meetings will in fact, de facto, serve as a dress rehearsal and will be as many opportunities for the coaches to refine their lists for the world championship in Qatar.
