(Paris) The funeral of the British naturalized French singer Jane Birkin, who died on Sunday, is to take place on Monday in the Saint-Roch church in Paris, with the installation of a giant screen outside, announced Thursday the artist’s entourage to AFP.
The ceremony is scheduled for 10 a.m.
Access to the church will be “reserved for family and friends,” the source told AFP.
“However, to involve the general public, the ceremony will be broadcast live on a giant screen at the corner of rue Saint-Honoré and rue des Pyramides,” she added.
Jane Birkin, 76, was found lifeless on Sunday at her Parisian home by her life assistant.
Many tributes have been paid to the actress and actress. Her daughters, Charlotte Gainsbourg and Lou Doillon, hailed the “fierce battle against the disease” led by their mother.
