Welfare by Julie Deliquet
©Christophe Raynaud de Lage
Julie Deliquet immerses us for the time of a show in the daily life of homeless people, stateless persons, workers, single mothers and the destitute, who follow one another at the counters of a social assistance center, improvised in the Cour d’honneur of the Palace of the Popes in Avignon. 15 everyday heroes relegated to the margins of society, whose stories intersect, to paint a portrait of the dysfunctions of our society.
According to Frederick Wiseman’s shocking documentary filmed in 1973 in a New York center, the current director of the National Dramatic Center of Saint-Denis questions hospitality and solidarity, which are struggling to emerge in our contemporary society. .

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of his company, the Vivarium Studio, Philippe Quesne returns to the stage with his new show The Garden of Delights. Indeed, in this new show, many actors and musicians take part in this retrofuturistic journey between past and future, inspired by the premonitory allegories of the Flemish artist. Technical, political and symbolic upheavals… The threats hanging over our society are numerous. The field of possibilities is therefore open. So, ready to marvel at this show performed in one of the most magical places of the Festival, the Carrière de Boulbon, reopened after 7 years of closure?
