(Montreal) A stabbing that occurred early in the morning in an apartment in northern Montreal led a man to the hospital and another to a police station where he was to be questioned.
According to the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM), an argument broke out between the two men shortly before 7 a.m. in an apartment on avenue Lausanne near the intersection of rue Prieur Est, in the borough of Montreal North. Authorities were alerted by a call to the 911 emergency call center.
The Urgences-santé paramedics told the SPVM that during his transport to the hospital, the 44-year-old victim was in an unstable state of health.
As for the suspect, a 40-year-old man, he was arrested at the apartment.
A security perimeter has been erected. SPVM investigators and forensic identification technicians were expected mid-morning to begin their work.
