The one-year-old baby who was the subject of an Amber alert on Wednesday afternoon has been found safe and sound, confirmed the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).
The girl was found in the Saint-Hyacinthe sector, the SQ said on Twitter, less than an hour after issuing the alert.

According to police information, the toddler was kidnapped by a 31-year-old suspect on Wednesday morning in the Centre-du-Québec region. The police department was looking for a red 2008 Toyota Corolla from Nova Scotia.
The SQ does not specify in its message whether the suspect has been arrested.
