It’s the return of rain and freshness for Tuesday

The summer mildness under a generous sun of the last few days will give way on Tuesday to rainy and gloomy weather with a marked drop in the mercury which will make us forget that it is spring.

This freshness will be in order at least for the next 48 hours, including in southern Quebec where possible showers are expected on Tuesday, while light snow without accumulation is expected in certain sectors of the west of the province.

In Montreal and its surroundings, the intermittent rain should begin at midday, when strong winds with gusts of 40 km/h will sweep practically all areas of southern and central Quebec, according to Environment Canada forecasts.

A similar scenario is anticipated in several sectors in the east of the province with dense clouds and a few showers in the Bas-Saint-Laurent in Gaspésie, where temperatures will be so low that the wind chill will mark its temporary return.

In the center of the province, the showers will be more sustained since the federal agency predicts 10 to 15 millimeters of rain in Estrie, Beauce and Quebec where the weather will generally be colder with temperatures of 8 degrees.
