Since Thursday, December 9, primary school children must wear the mask as soon as they arrive at school. Level 3 of the health protocol comes into effect, in an attempt to limit the spread of the Covid-19 virus. By dropping off their children, parents show themselves to be divided. “The recess is the opportunity to drop the mask and breathe”, blows a mother of a family, while a father considers that “if it is to restrict the evolution of the virus, it is necessary to apply [les mesures]”.

Some children had already struggled to carry it indoors. Overall, the pupils of this Rhône school respect the new instruction, even if they consider it restrictive. “It’s not very pleasant, and when we speak we get along badly”, confides a young schoolgirl. However, the obligation does not apply to kindergarten children. The school therefore had to split up the recess and put in place a markup in order to avoid mixing.
