Student stabbed in a school in Montreal North: the suspect surrenders to the police

The 18-year-old young man who allegedly stabbed a student Tuesday morning in a Montreal-North high school gave himself up to the police in the early afternoon.


The suspect, who has no criminal record, presented himself to an SPVM neighborhood station, where he was arrested.

The young man, who studies at Amos secondary school, allegedly assaulted another student at the establishment during a conflict that escalated.

The crime was committed around 8:30 a.m. inside the walls of the school located on Boulevard Saint-Vital.


This school welcomes young people between the ages of 16 and 20 wishing to complete their secondary studies.


The victim, a 19-year-old man, suffered serious, but not life-threatening injuries.


A dog handler was dispatched to the scene to try to find evidence, including the murder weapon.
