This is the third loss in as many days for Marc-André Bergeron’s men against the Growlers.
The locals set their pace from the start of the game by scoring three goals in the opening engagement. Two of those three goals were scored by Pavel Gogolev during that span, who later completed his hat-trick in the final engagement.
Gogolev also had a strong game the day before against those same Lions with a hat trick.
The only two goals from the Trois-Rivières team were scored by Nicolas Guay and William Lemay.
Lions goaltender Étienne Montpetit gave up on nine of the 38 shots he faced.
His vis-à-vis Dryden Mckay made a total of 22 saves during the game.
Trois-Rivières will play its penultimate game of the season on Wednesday against the Maine Mariners at Cross Insurance Arena in Portland.
