Six months later, we now know the cause of death of rapper Coolio.

The American artist who died on September 28 was the victim of an overdose of fentanyl, several American media report.
According to a family spokesperson, Coolio’s relatives only learned the news recently from the coroner. Traces of heroin and methamphetamines were also found in the singer’s blood.
Investigators say Coolio’s severe asthma and smoking were also contributing factors in his death.
The late artist’s family reportedly plans to honor Coolio’s memory through documentaries and even a film.
