(Montreal) More than 24,000 Hydro-Québec customers found themselves without power on Sunday morning.
The regions of Montérégie and Lanaudière are the most affected, with respectively more than 10,000 and 7,000 customers without power around 10 a.m., according to the Info-pannes website.
Several outages began shortly after midnight due to equipment failure.
It is unclear whether weather conditions were the cause of the outages.
A snow warning is in progress in several regions of Quebec, where 15 to 25 centimeters are expected by Sunday morning.
In Ontario, high winds knocked out power to more than 21,000 customers Saturday night.
