In May 2016, M6 aired the special My life without René, during which Celine Dion gave her first interview since the death of her husband René Angelil from cancer a few months earlier. An interview organized in the dressing room of the star, at Caesar Palace, which Stéphane Rotenberg took care of. Guest in We redid the TV on RTLthe host confided in this very special moment. “It was the first time she spoke after René’s death, I knew that she was destabilized and that she attached a lot of importance to this first speech”he explained before detailing the security of the Quebec diva. “It’s pretty crazy, she never opens a door, she never presses an elevator button“he continued before comparing this device to that of the British singer, Elton John. “She doesn’t have a phone, we hand her one and when she’s finished, she puts the phone back and we hang up for her.”

Back with Pekin Express and Top Chef
In 2023, there will always be more Stéphane Rotenberg! The host will return to M6 with two legendary shows. He will resume his role for the 14th season of Top Chef surrounded by the same chefs as last year, namely: Philippe Etchebest, Paul Pairet, Glenn Viel and Hélène Darroze. Season 17 of Beijing Express will soon be on the channel. The participants (eight duos in total, editor’s note) will be in Bolivia, Paraguay and Brazil with a planned start on the shores of Lake Titicaca and a finish line placed in Rio de Janeiro.
