an ineffective ASNL is beaten at Quevilly-Rouen (2-1)

This Friday evening, the ASNL traveled to the promoted, Quevilly-Rouen. The Nancéiens were beaten, 2-1, and rush a little more towards the national one. Thiam (2 ‘) launched his team well but Cissokho (9’) and Nazon (66 ‘) allowed the promoted, QRM, to pull off this so important success in the race for maintenance. AS Nancy Lorraine is more than ever last in the standings and sees the national getting closer.

Manage my choices

Sterile domination

The defeat of this Friday evening against a direct competitor is certainly a bad accounting operation but it also demonstrates the limits of this workforce. After 18 days, ASNL is therefore well in its place in the standings. There are too many ingredients missing to see a better day. Despite possession of the ball, ASNL is only too rarely dangerous for its opponent and the many bad choices in the last gesture only confirm the technical deficiencies of a team whose fragility was obvious.

The same ailments

Coach Benoît Pedretti may try to play the balancing act by trying different formulas, the ailments remain the same. This Friday evening, the lack of efficiency and determination in the areas of truth once again weighed down Nancy’s ambitions, as did the lack of sharpness on a set piece and in the recovery of the ball as evidenced by the action which brings the second goal from Quevilly-Rouen.

A complicated end of the year

ASNL has just lost its feathers again. The calendar which awaits the Nancy people before the truce of the confectioners is not made to reassure. From next Saturday, it will be necessary to go to Nîmes before welcoming Dijon, two formations which also play their survival but which seem today better prepared to fight for their survival in Ligue 2.
