Men are the first victims of road accidents. To particularly reach this target, Road Safety is launching a new prevention campaign.
On the roads of France, last year, 3,260 people were killed. 80% of these victims are men. A male overrepresentation which does not surprise motorists much. “Men are more likely to vent a number of frustrations while driving”, said a driver. And the figure is even higher among 18-24 year olds. The number of male victims rises to 90%.
Break the stereotypes
For Road Safety, the cause is the behavior of men behind the wheel. Male driving stereotypes that die hard. Driving issues seem to be different between men and women. A new Road Safety campaign seeks to challenge these stereotypes by calling for accountability.
