4:50 p.m. : The invasion of Ukraine was a major issue in the presidential election in the Czech Republic. Petr Pavel is a 61-year-old former general, who notably chaired NATO’s Military Committee between 2015 and 2018. He supports kyiv’s candidacy to join the EU. In March, he will replace current President Milos Zeman, who was close to Moscow until the offensive last February. And he imposed himself against Andrej Babis who, in his campaign, had affirmed that he would never send troops to help Poland or the Baltic States within the framework of the collective defense of NATO, and accused Pavel of wanting drag the country into war.
4:32 p.m. : The Ukrainian governor of the Donetsk region, also partially occupied by Russia, accuses the Russian army of having “shot at a residential area” in Konstantynivka, killing three civilians and wounding two others. He publishes images on Telegram showing in particular charred vehicles.
4:27 p.m. : The Russian army accuses Ukrainian forces of deliberately hitting a hospital in Novoaidar, in the occupied region of Luhansk, which it calls a “serious war crime”.
